CHRISTIAN FAMILY CAMPOUT:  Mark your calendars to attend the Christian Family Campout at Hoeft State Park on September 5, 6, & 7.  This event is an extremely relaxed and unstructured fellowship of Christian families and fun for the whole family.  No reservations needed.  Potluck Saturday night.  Worship Service Sunday morning.  For more information please call Jim and Linda Majesky, 354-2659.

A big THANK YOU goes out to Wayne Kowalski and Augie Matuzak for fixing the sprinkler system after the road work was completed.  Your help was really appreciated.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ACOLYTE COORDINATOR. Some of the duties include: keeping the candle lighters clean, washing the acolyte robes when needed, training new acolytes, making a schedule for acolytes, mailing reminder postcards, posting a schedule in vestry, ushers’ room and giving one to the church office.  If you would be willing to serve in this capacity or if you have any questions please contact the church office, 356-1658.

The Egermeier’s Bible Story Book readings for next week are:  Joseph Makes Himself Known, page 64, and A Gentile Mother Comes to Jesus, page 417.  Parents, will you invest ten minutes a day in your children by reading God’s word with them? All it takes is time.  I’ll bet you’re willing to give it.

Habitat for Humanity is building two homes on Jefferson Street in Alpena.  We have volunteers coming from other states to help us through the month of August.  They are called “Care-A-Vanners.”  We ask that churches and anyone that would volunteer to take lunch, snacks or drinks to the volunteers that are helping with the builds.  If you can serve in this way please call me, 356-3509, and sign up for days in August in which you could help us feed these people lunches.  Thank you so much for whatever you can do for us.  It is so appreciated. Gloria Egelski, Habitat for Humanity, Alpena Area, Volunteer Coordinator
