St. Paul Lutheran’s Mission is to be an expression of God’s compassion in our community and beyond.

CONDOLENCES TO:  The family and friends of Donna Stepanski who joined our Lord in eternity June 21. Her funeral was held at St. Mary Catholic Church, June 25.

FLOWERS IN THE CHANCEL (foot of the cross) are in memory of Donna Stepanski from her family.

Congratulations to Josh and Kim Wesaw on the birth of their daughter, Addison June, who was born on June 22, 2008. 

We welcome into the kingdom of God through the sacrament of Holy Baptism (Sat.        5:30 p.m.) Kaelyn Ann Storms and Ashlyn Marie Storms, daughters of Melissa and Trevor Storms.  Their sponsors are Amy Nowak and A.J. Nowak. 

The Egermeier’s Bible Story Book readings for next week are: Abraham Offers Isaac, page 33, and Four Men Tear Up a Roof, page 398.  Parents, will you invest ten minutes a day in your children by reading God’s word with them? All it takes is time.  I’ll bet you’re willing to give it. 

If you just had a baby or you are expecting one please come join us for the Faith Stepping Stone #1 Baptism Classes which will be held July 1, 8, 15 and 22.  We will meet on the second floor, room 207, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.  Please call Kristine Johnson, 766-3735, to register by June 30th.  Thank you. 

The June Service Activity is Luther Manor of Alpena. Items needed are:  Bingo Prizes, Paper Products (paper towels, tissues, toilet paper), Hand Soap and Dish Soap, Canned Fruit or Canned Soup, Dish Towels and Dish Cloths, Puzzles (300 to 500 pieces), Please leave one or more of the needed items in the provided baskets in the Narthex (back of Sanctuary), hallway or Fellowship Hall. If you have any questions please contact Joan Lavoie at 354-8819.
