Bulletins/Announcements
St. Paul Lutheran’s Mission is to be an
expression of God’s compassion in our community and beyond.
WE REMEMBER IN OUR PRAYERS: Hilma Burnham,
Brett Precord, Elana Aal, Lisa Borchard, Karen Bisson, Chuck
Connolly, Cliff Wyman, Lois Cramer, Lisa Taylor, Alice
Cornell, Sammy Wozniak, Jodi Headley, Sue Robb, Lois
Chapman, Sally Barney, Randy Stewart, Jim Stafford, Deb
Lange, Rita Jolin, Don Urban, Joe Kluce, Louis Blemke, Terry
Hand, Karin Hamann, and Pastor Kurt Peterson. (Prayer is the
best medicine and we are prepared to pray indefinitely for
folks. Would you please help the church office keep our list
current? Unless we know otherwise, our normal practice is
to remove names after a month. Thank you for your
partnership in prayer.)
We remember our prayer partners in the
North/West Lower Michigan Synod:
* Bethany and Victory Trinity Lutheran
Churches, Ludington, Pastor Bill Huether

Coffee Hour: The Education
Committee will do March and the Crafters will do April. If
you or your group would like to host a month please call
Sandy Froggett at 358-0118.
This week we join in prayer with the other
LARCC churches (Grace Lutheran, Trinity Episcopal, First
Congregational, St. Anne, St. Mary, St. Bernard and St. John
the Baptist Catholic churches) for the Homebound
Parishioners at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Reading God’s Word at Home: The Egermeier’s
Bible Story Book readings for next week are: Lazarus Is
Raised from the Dead, page 443, and Jesus Rides into
Jerusalem as King, page 461. Parents, will you invest ten
minutes a day in your children by reading God’s word with
them? All it takes is time. I’ll bet you’re willing to
give it.
Ronald McDonald House – Thank you for your
continued help in collecting tabs for the Ronald McDonald
House of Michigan. The total weight of tabs collected so
far was 193 pounds. The tabs were recycled at our local
center in Alpena and a check was sent for $96.50. This
money will go towards medical care for children. Please
continue to save your tabs. There are collection containers
in the narthex and at the bottom of the stairs leading to
the fellowship room. If you have questions, you can contact
Kathy Froggett, 354-7126.
HELP NEEDED: Perhaps you have noticed the
bolts holding the kneelers in place are in need of
replacement. Property is sponsoring a “KNEELER WORKBEE” on
Sunday, March 9 following late service to replace the bolts
in the kneelers. The nuts and bolts will be provided (and
the pizza). The only thing missing is YOU! We could use
your help in replacing the bolts in the kneelers, obviously
the more, the merrier (and the job gets completed quicker).
Please bring your energy and socket wrench. Please talk to
Jeff Hoeksema, 354-7509, if you have questions.
The viewing of the movie “Passion of the
Christ” that was scheduled for this Sunday, March 9, has
been cancelled. If you have any questions please contact
Becky Hawks at 354-5361.
The March Service Activity is Soap for
Lutheran World Relief. A brand new bar of soap signals
dignity and cleanliness. Lutheran World Relief accepts new
bars of any brand soap, in its original wrapping. All bar
sizes are accepted; however, bath-size bars (4-5 oz.) are
highly preferred. Please place one or more items in
collection baskets in the narthex, fellowship hall or entry
in to the Sanctuary. Questions? Call Sandi Owens at
356-4039 or sowens@charter.net
The Esther Circle Bible Study will meet
Tuesday, March 11 at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be served.
ATTENTION ALTAR CARE LADIES - Our spring
work-bee is scheduled for Thursday, March 13 at 10:00 a.m.
If you have any questions contact JoEllen Lang at (989)
340-0271.
NEEDED: Two acolytes for Maundy Thursday
(March 20) service at 7:00 p.m. We need two acolytes for
Easter Sunday 10:45 a.m. service as well. We also need a
cross bearer for the 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Easter
services. Please call Val Urban, 356-4613 or the church
office, 356-1658, if you are able to serve in one of these
ways. Thank you.
SUNDAY SCHOOL EASTER PLAY PRESENTATION: On
Sunday, March 30, the Sunday school of St. Paul will
present "Props for Easter". Please join us as we take a
look at Easter from the contents on an Easter basket.
You'll be surprised, entertained, humbled and amazed at what
we find. We invite all members from the congregation and
children to join us for a short fellowship before and after
the presentation on Sunday, March 30 9:30 a.m. in the Multi
Purpose Room. If you have any questions, please contact
Esther Kindt at 471-2274.
NO SUNDAY SCHOOL ON EASTER SUNDAY. Take this
opportunity to attend church as a family and return on March
30 to see "Props for Easter".
