This week we join in prayer with the other
LARCC churches (Grace Lutheran, Trinity Episcopal, First
Congregational, St. Anne, St. Mary, St. Bernard and St. John
the Baptist Catholic churches) for the Homebound
Parishioners at St. Mary Catholic Church.
Reading God’s Word at Home: The Egermeier’s
Bible Story Book readings for next week are: The Ten
Commandments, page 99, Jeremiah Writes God’s Words in a
Book, page 304, and The Ten Lepers, page 429. Parents, will
you invest ten minutes a day in your children by reading
God’s word with them? All it takes is time. I’ll bet you’re
willing to give it.
Attention Altar Care Ladies: Our annual
meeting will be on Monday, October 15th at 6:00 p.m. in the
Sanctuary. If you have any questions, please call JoEllen
at 884-0151.
Boy Scout Troop 92 will be having a Soup and
Pie Dinner and Silent Auction on Friday, October 19th
at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Dinner will be from 4:00
p-.m. – 7:00 p.m. and will feature a delicious assortment of
homemade soups and pies. Adults are $6.00 and Children
$3.00. Final bidding will be at 7:00 p.m. Auction
donations are from local merchants. All proceeds go towards
Troop 92 Spring Trip.
The crafters and ladies of the church are
sponsoring the Coffee Hour for October. All donations will
go to assist our friend Lisa Borchard with her needs.
Cherub Choir is open to all children in
Kindergarten, First and Second Grade who enjoy singing.
Cherubs will meet Wednesdays from 6:45 - 7:15 p.m. in the
Kindergarten Sunday School room. If you have any questions
contact Marty Cantleberry at 354-5504.
Council packets are done and may be picked up
today in the Narthex.
Save your shoe boxes! The service project
for the month of October will be packing shoe boxes with
gifts for Operation Christmas Child. The shoe boxes are
packed with small toys, school supplies, and personal items,
and are delivered to children in need around the world.
Pamphlets describing what to pack, and the shipping cost are
available in the narthex. (Please NO liquids, chocolate or

The Annual Meeting will be October 21 after
the 10:30 a.m. service. A potluck dinner will begin at
noon. A main dish and beverages will be provided so plan on
bringing your favorite appetizer, salad or dessert. The
Annual Congregational Meeting will follow the potluck.
Acolyte training, for those who missed the
last one, will be Sunday, October 14th. We will meet after
the 10:30 a.m. service in the Sanctuary. If you have any
questions please contact Val Urban at 356-4613.

Dutcher will be united in marriage next Saturday afternoon
(Oct. 20) at 2:30 p.m. They ask for your prayers as they
begin their lives together as husband and wife.
Don't forget to mark Saturday, November 3rd
on your calendar for St. Paul's Christmas bazaar
from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Luncheon will be
served from 11 until 1. Tickets are on sale in the church
office, any bazaar member or during coffee hour. You may
drop off your donations on Friday, November 2nd from 9:00 am
to 8 pm in the multi-purpose room (gym). Don't forget that
you can drop off books, puzzles, and games NOW in Room 201
for our Book Nook. Hope to see you there supporting our
bazaar! .Any questions, call Lori at 356-4753.
THANK YOU! A BIG thank you to all who made
donations, prepared food, made pies, decorated the Dining
Room, took tickets, helped seat people, table servers and
anyone else who was there to lend a hand at the Harvest
Dinner. It would not have been such a success without each
of you. All of your efforts were greatly appreciated. All
the proceeds will go toward the window replacement project
for the Education Building.
