Thanksgiving Eve Ecumenical Worship Service:
Join us here at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Wednesday,
November 22, at 7:00 p.m. as we come together with our
brothers and sisters in town to praise the Lord of the
Harvest, our Creator, who provides everything that we need
from day to day. O give thanks to the Lord for He is good,
for His steadfast love endures forever. Psalm 136:1.
The November Service Activity is Salvation
Army. Items Needed: New hats, mittens, scarves, coats,
wipes, diapers, shampoo, soap, baby food, canned goods, and
all basic needs to live in Alpena, Michigan throughout a
cold winter. Please leave donations in the designated
spots: Hallway leading into the sanctuary, Narthex and
dining room. Questions: Sandi Owens at 356-4039.
A big THANK YOU goes out to all of you who
helped make this years Harvest Dinner a success! Our profit
this year came to $2,243.39 with an additional $800 coming
from Thrivent making our grand total $3,043.39. This year’s
profits will go toward the window replacement project for
the Education Building.

their November 14 meeting at 12:30 p.m.

has recently interviewed a candidate and after
consideration, has extended an invitation to him for a
second visit. He has accepted that invitation and is
tentatively scheduled to assist in worship and preach the
weekend of December 2nd and 3rd. Please continue to pray
for this process, our candidate and his wife, Pastor Paul,
the Call Committee and Bishop Gary. If you have any
questions or concerns, please contact a member of the Call
Committee: Nancy Coombs, John Diamond, Ann Hardesty,
Leonard Kemnitz, Wayne Kowalski, Rodney Lang, Tiffany Lang,
Augie Matuzak, Beth Strong, Val Urban and David Werner.
What is God’s purpose for your life? You are
a gifted person: Every baptized Christian has been given
particular gifts for God’s service. You are invited to
learn about Spiritual Gifts and discover which ones God has
given you by participating in a “Discovering Your Spiritual
Gifts Workshop.” The next one will be at St. Paul Lutheran
Church in the dining room on Wednesday, November 29th from
6:30 to 9:00 p.m. This workshop is an essential part of
the membership process at St. Paul. Identifying and then
engaging your gifts in serving God helps you plug into God’s
purpose for your life. If you would like additional
information you may contact Kathy Froggett (354-7126), or
Pastor Paul (356-1658).
There are still items left from the St. Paul
Christmas Bazaar to purchase. They will be available to
purchase in the dining room for the next three weeks. Be
sure to check it out.
Coffee Hour: If you or your group would like
to volunteer to host a month please call Sandy Froggett at
358-0118.
This week we join in prayer with the other
LARCC churches (Grace Lutheran, Trinity Episcopal, First
Congregational, St. Anne, St. Mary, St. Bernard and St. John
the Baptist Catholic churches) for the Youth Ministry at St.
Paul Lutheran Church.
