Reading God’s Word at Home: The Egermeier’s
Bible Story Book readings for next week are: Lazarus Is
Raised from the Dead, page 443, A Sick Man Is Healed, page
445, and A Crippled Woman is Healed, page 448. Parents,
will you invest ten minutes a day in your children by
reading God’s word with them? All it takes is time. I’ll
bet you’re willing to give it.
Would you like to know about St. Paul Trust
and Endowment Fund? Please call Wayne Kowalski at 356-2882
with any questions.
Hymn suggestion box! Want to help pick out
the hymns for service? Here’s your opportunity for input.
The hymn suggestion box is available in the narthex. Just
put the title of your favorite hymn on a slip of paper and
drop it in. The hymn committee will tally the results and
make a “favorite hymn” list. This way our hymn marker of
being a song the congregation loves to sing can be more
easily met. Thanks in advance for your help!
ATTENTION ALTAR CARE LADIES - Our annual
meeting will be on Thursday, November 9, at 6 p.m. in the
church lounge. See you there, JoEllen Lang.
CALL COMMITTEE UPDATE: The Call Committee
has invited a candidate to visit us in early November.
During that time, the candidate will be able to get to know
our congregation and we will have an opportunity to better
understand his ambitions and needs. After that visit, we
will consider moving further in the call process with this
candidate. While we patiently wait, please pray for Bishop
Hansen, the Call Committee, Pastor Paul and the candidate
who will be a part of our process. If you have any questions
or concerns, please contact a member of the Call Committee:
Nancy Coombs, John Diamond, Ann Hardesty, Leonard Kemnitz,
Wayne Kowalski, Rodney Lang, Tiffany Lang, Augie Matuzak,
Beth Strong, Val Urban and David Werner.
The St. Paul Christmas Bazaar is next
Saturday, November 4. Items may be dropped off from 9:00
a.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the gym. A last minute decision was
made to have the Book Nook again. Please drop off any good
condition books, games, puzzles and CD’s to Room 202 anytime
before or on November 3rd. Tickets for the luncheon are now
available in the church office or from any Bazaar member,
and will also be sold at coffee hour. The cost is $6.00
adult, $3.50 children under 12. If you have any questions
call Lori Ludwig at 356-4753.
This week we join in prayer with the other
LARCC churches (Grace Lutheran, Trinity Episcopal, First
Congregational, St. Anne, St. Mary, St. Bernard and St. John
the Baptist Catholic churches) for the Faith and Hope
Hospitality House.
Coffee Hour: The Coffee Hour has started up
again. If you or your group would like to volunteer to host
a month please call Sandy Froggett at 358-0118.

hygiene items, hard candy and lollipops (please double bag
all candy), mints, gum, T-shirts, socks, ball caps;
