The Outreach Team will be collecting for Habitat’s “Building on Faith Weekend” Sunday Sept 24th.  This will be an opportunity for St Paul Lutheran to help families find their place in our community. We ask that you look into your heart and help us by donating whatever you can.  If you would like to know more about how you can help or if you know of a family who may wish to apply for a home you can contact Habitat at 989-356-3509 or e-mail them at www.hfhalpenaarea.org.

We welcome into the kingdom of God through the sacrament of Holy Baptism (Sun. 10:30 a.m.) OLIVIA LEI GOODRICH, daughter of Bruce and Michelle Goodrich.  Her sponsor is Wayne Kowalski and Shannon Meredith.

Mark your calendars!  The 2006 Congregational Meeting will be held on Sunday, October 22.  A potluck dinner will begin at Noon.  A main dish and beverages will be provided so plan on bringing your favorite appetizer, salad, or dessert!  The Annual Congregational Meeting will follow the potluck.

The Faith Incubators will present the Entry into Kindergarten Faith Stepping Stone #3, beginning Sunday, September 24th, and continuing through October 1st and October 8th.  In three weeks, we will address three issues: the physical development, emotional development, and spiritual development of kindergarten aged children.  We will meet in the lounge during the Sunday school hour.  If you have any questions, please contact Elly Diamond 727-9971.

Attention Committees/Groups: The Annual Meeting is scheduled for October 22nd at 12:00 p.m.  You may send your report into the church office via email at linda@stpaul.org

Attention Parents and Grandparents of young singers!!!!!!!  Do you have young ones who sing constantly?  Do you long to see your children/grandchildren at the front of the church (and not because they ran away from you in the pew)?  Have you been looking for an opportunity to get your kids/grandkids more involved in our faith?  We have just the answer – children’s choir!!!!!!  Marty Cantlebury will rehearse the cherub choir (K-2) Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:15 pm.  Julie Wood will rehearse the children’s choir (3rd-6th) Wednesday evenings from 7:15-8:00 pm.  Rehearsals start October 11th.  For more information, contact Julie Wood at 356-1658 or julie@stpaul.org.  Music is a powerful way to encourage faith in Jesus.  Come join us!  We’re looking forward to seeing you on the 11th!
